Read More…AltonaLab Humidity sensor is an easy to use board, which works in range 0 ~ 100% RH, Accuracy: ±3% RH. The board has a connector with three screws - ground, power +5V and signal output. The measured output voltage Vout of the sensor can be converted to RH using the expression below:
Rh = (Vout / 0.0318) - 23.83075
The used sensitive element is HIH-5031-001.
Below are described a few simple ways to connect the sensor to Numato 8 Channel USB GPIO Module with Analog Inputs:
AltonaLab Connector board for ADC 5V is developed for fast connecting of up to 4 sensors with analog outputs.
For applications with ADC 3.3V, the needed connector board has to be AltonaLab Connector board for ADC 3.3V or just use a resistor divider shown below:
AltonaLab IoT software has special functional blocks for all the Numato controllers and for the humidity sensor too: AltonaHumidityTemp, so everyone can very easy measure the humidity using the diagram as shown below:
The block has additional input Temp, so if the temperature is known, the output of the functional block will be temperature compensated.
