✨ A Handy Tool for I²C Projects

This tool is designed to simplify the development and testing of systems using custom I²C protocols. Essentially, it functions like a USB to Serial Converter, but tailored specifically for the I²C interface, providing a seamless bridge between USB and I²C devices.
It's designed to be versatile for a few common situations:

• Test I²C Slaves: Use the desktop GUI to easily send read/write requests to your slave device, helping you see how it responds.
• Test I²C Masters: Configure the converter to act as a slave device. This lets you check your master's code even if your final I²C slave isn't available yet.
• Automate with Python: If you prefer scripting, the interface-expander package lets you control the I²C bus from Python, which is handy for automated testing or working with memory chips like EEPROMs.

🖥️ Graphical User Interface (Windows + Linux)

The converter comes with a GUI for easy control of the two I²C interfaces. It allows to formulate master requests and slave configurations so you can test your I²C slave/master device. The results of master requests and slave access notifications are displayed in the GUI

After running pip install interface-expander on your system the device can be easily controlled via python code, as shown by the examples below.
