What is it?

The Pow-Or board is a dual input power multiplexer. It can handle 2.8 to 5.5 volts and up to 1.25amps.

Why did you make it?

I made it because I wanted a simple plug and play power multiplexer for Arduino's, Raspberry Pi's and low power projects.

What makes it special?

It's a dead simple power multiplexer. In its simplist form you just add two power sources and use the blue trimpot to set the crossover voltage. A 4 step setup guide walks you through how to set it up using just the LED. For more advanced users there are additional features:

The ability to disable the LED to conserve power
Status output to indicate which power source is being used
the ability to disable the trimpot and use micro controller logic to switch power inputs.
And if the trimpot is removed there are two unpopulated surface mounting pads for adding a set crossover via a voltage divider
