Read More…This is a simple analog input module for the .NET Micro Gadgeteer platform. It allows for up to three analog inputs over wide voltage ranges. One GPIO signal is also made available. Comes with screw terminal for input, but pads are also available for an optional 0.1" female header. One analog channel has a trim pot voltage divider across the input. Other channels are unity gain buffers, but pads are available for gain adjustment, filtering, ESD protection, etc., for expert users.
Many analog signals are outside the range of 0-3.3V that may be input directly to the ADC pins of a Gadgeteer board. This module allows for a wider range of signals to be monitored, and also provides a buffer from external analog voltages.
It is simple, inexpensive, and highly customizable.
See the "Documents" link for schematic, and for the Visual Studio module installer, which makes using the board as simple as dragging it from your toolbox and referencing the "simpleAnalog" object.
