great module, but....

The module works great! It is a little pricey. They were very slow to ship. Could have had more documentation.

Nicely made and robust

I've bought half a dozen of these little boards from BBTech and I've found them to be very nicely made and extremely robust. I particularly like the semi circular mountings which allow for secure fixing. I've been running six T type Thermocouples at liquid nitrogen levels and it took me a long time to get correct temperature values from the Arduino Nano - I finally worked out that the MAX31855 chip uses a linear approximation of the thermocouple voltage (search the Arduino forum for 'MAX 31855 and Thermocouple Errors') so don't blame this board if the temperatures you may get are in error out at extreme temperatures, these boards perform perfectly but the MAX31855 output needs 'recalculating' in your code to get correct temperature values.

One improvement which would make these boards perfect (for me) , would be a mini thermocouple connector option in place of the screw terminals, but those on the board work perfectly well if you snip the mini connectors off your thermocouple.

A very nice product BBTech, well done. I shall be ordering more for sure.
