My Brain-In-A-Jar Project

We are completing the Retroshield Intel series, with the last piece - Retroshield 8080.

• 8080 running at 1MHz
• 64KB RAM
• Emulates Intel's Intellec 8/Mod 80 and SDK-80 boards w/ monitor code.
• Emulates CP/M 2.2, Altair DOS and Altair Extended BASIC, using Teensy SDCard as disk.

Note: Sorry, you also need the Teensy adapter board because of 8080's minimum clock requirement.

What do you get?

Following options are available:

• Asembled and tested
• Kit including 8080 processor (you solder a few through-hole parts)
• PCB only (SMT parts already soldered for you)

What makes it special?

You can "breadboard in software" meaning you can design, change, update your hardware platform as easily as modifying the source code and recompiling code.
