Prototoids is a prototyping PCB designed for a ‘toids tin and loosely based on Manhattan/Pittsburg style construction with IC friendly pads. One side of the PCB contains pads while the other is a ground plane. The ground plane side is not masked for Manhattan style construction. Along the edge of the board are standard .1″ header rows with select rounded pads connected to the ground plane.
There are 3 styles of boards:
Size: 3.543" x 2.160" (90mm x 54.8mm)
I needed something to experiment with where the end product would fit in a tin.
The pads sizes and spacing will allow standard .1" IC's. It also works with many SMD components such as 1206 & 0805 sized resistors, capacitors, etc. The bottom side is a ground plane which can be used for full Manhattan style construction. Each edge contains .1" spacing holes for headers. And of course the board size drops right into a 'toids tin.
Note: Tin and components are for reference only and not included with the prototyping board.
