The micro controller used is the Atmel xMega 256A3U and is compatible with Xmegaduino - arduino for the XMega devices As time permits we will contribute to the Xmegaduino project to support this port natively. (Edit - Feb 2016) We have begun our initial porting to the Xmegaduino project, allowing the programming of the board using the Arduino IDE and libraries (1.6.7) - example projects will be shared on GitHub as we progress. (Edit - March 2016) Our fork of the Xmegaduino project is here contribution is on going, we have digitalIO operational, all Serial ports and will next test the GSM lib with the Sim800 (Edit - July 2016) We are almost all the way through porting the Ardunio GSM library, our version is a fork but is planned to be almost 100% API compatible) The latest code is checked into our Github repo but it is not 100% complete. We are also currently updating our website and will publish the schematics there.
We are also porting [ContikiOS] (http://www.contiki-os.org) to our board. Once we have completed our CMUX implementation, allowing for Simultaneous TCP/IP and AT commands over the same serial port we will release the source on Github and issue a patch to the ContikiOS project.
Should you want a complete product control AC/DC loads via a missed call or SMS the firmware is available for download.
We have used these boards to monitor ambient temperature and log onto Freeboard.io We also have a Web based access control solution based on these boards.
The board has the following features:
