A great a simple solution to add usb C to any dualshock 3

For Type-C for PS3

Great product. For genuine dualshock 3 models (and og sixaxis also I think) that cannot be modded (or hard to be modded) to have a usb C this is a well designed and nicely made solution. Regarding the shipment, zero issues, a tracking number was provided and everything arrived as expected.

Does what it's supposed to.

For Type-C for PS3

I've been worried that my favorite controllers would stop working, due to the port wearing out. I have babied them, to help keep them going. I was considering replacing the port itself, and doing a USB-C swap. Luckily after a little googling I found this page. I bought a couple of these, and they are working well so far. My only complaint would be the same as the other review. A little paper included letting you know which way to orient the adapter would go a long way.

Works Great

For Home Buttons Mini

Super handy, works great.
It shows QR Codes for how to set it up which is really neat.
Once configured with wifi and mqtt it just set itself up as a device in home assistant with automations and everything completely on its own, didn't even know that was possible.
The 3D printed case looks great and has a really nice surface finish.

Just a great experience

For Home Buttons

I bought this back on 09.11.2022. I got myself the original 6 button version.
Thanks for improving the firmware since then.
Discovered that the new version can display material design icons. Something I wanted to have from the beginning.
Super cool!

I also got myself a battery then and today (10.07.2023) the battery has 39%. Using it for switching on and off some lights every evening.

Just a good product.
Keep up the good work!

Really nice unit - well designed and well built.

For Home Buttons Mini

Hands up, I'm not a Home Assistant user and prefer to code everything independently in NodeRed. While the units do integrate with Home Assistant, they don't depend on it to work - I have everything up and running through Mosquitto and NodeRed - the two Home Buttons switches just worked.
The switch unit itself seems to be well designed and very responsive (once I'd given it a static address). The MQTT commands are intuitive and the display easy to program and is readable.

Now I just need to save up ££££s for twenty of the 6 button Home Buttons switches to replace the LightWaveRF mood switches I use at the moment.

great product

For Type-C for PS3

The adapter works great and was easy to install. The adhesive is great as well, and will most likely stay for a good while. I was a little disappointed that you have to go on the product page for instructions instead of having them come with the adapter, but it's really straightforward and the only thing you really need to look up is which side is up (the side with the line on the plastic faces down btw). Other than that, this has been very useful to me and I'm one step closer to not needing mini or micro USB ever again :))

Great device and even a great maker!!

Let me start that I am really thankful to Nejc that offered to ship me the device a second time as the 1st time the contents of the envelope was stolen during transportation (the thief put some nice pokemon cards inside to try to match the weight, what an awful person).
Back to the review, the device is just amazing, it was enough to scan the QRCode to have all the needed instructions on my cell phone and I manage to connect it to my MQTT broker in HA in 2 minutes, it's very easy to use and nice looking as well; it's very hany to have up to 24 possible triggers and using the display in a dynamic way to display useful info is just a cherry on the cake.
Being myself a maker and tinder seller I can only advise to go for this device, it's really well done and it will help the maker to continue to develop it further!

Awesome buttons for controling anything you'd want

For Home Buttons

I have been searching many months for an universal solution, that I like.
This one hits the spot!

Pros:
- Nice and modern design
- Easy setup, just connect to WiFi and enter your credentials
- Temperature and Humidity sensor built in
- Detailed documentation
- Active maintainer
- Very well packaged
- Nice 3d printed case, very nice finish and material
- Very lightweight
- Auto discovery with HomeAssistant, no trouble setting it up
- Very fast delivery within 4 days to Switzerland
- Very nice Display

Cons / Inconveniences:
- Setup is not explained on the screen
- Case cover was very hard to take off, I wish it was a bit easier. I almost broke it :/
- Requires MQTT. I don't mind, but an alternative with ESPHome would be great (seems to be in progress)
- LEDs are slightly off center, when pressing a button. It's probably a limitation, because the batter would not fit otherwise.
- No option for ordering a battery cell directly with the order. I had to order one elsewhere.
- Not very much configuration options for what is being displayed on the screen (max 7 characters, no icons, ...)

Overall, this is a really good product.
I really like the E-Paper display.
Some tinkering with MQTT is required, but it's not hard to do.
I really wish that there would also be a version with a motion sensor (and maybe even more sensors?)

I hope that the seller will create more products.
I have no complaints so far, and it works much better and faster, than my old switches.

Edit 05.04.2023: After a few months of running this, I can confirm that it's absolutely worth it. Using the triggers in Home Assistant, I can control anything now in my entire household - no matter the complexity. I love to see that the seller is active and updates are being made. 10/10

Could you please elaborate on this point a bit more: "Labels will reset, after power has been lost"?
This should not be the case, as labels are saved in persisted memory.

Nifty smart home device

For Home Buttons

Long have I wanted a device that's just some buttons that trigger various automations around my apartment. Home Buttons delivers, and it does it with style!

It works exactly like I expected and was a breeze to integrate with Home Assistant using the provided guide. The enclosure is very well-designed, and makes great use of a dual-extruder 3D printer to add the logo and lines indicating which buttons the labels correspond to.

The silkscreen layer on the PCB is very informative and will definitely help me should I need to troubleshoot the device for whatever reason.

The temperature and humidity sensor are a nice touch, too! Now I have yet another data point for my average temperature and humidity sensors.

Overall I am very happy with this so far! Keep up the good work, PLab

An awesome way of having buttons with labels in home-assistant. With the current firmware adding more control from inside HA making this a the top buttons with eink display from a usability and a scriptability.

6 button controller with display

For Home Buttons

This is a really nice device featuring 6 buttons with configurable labels. It would be a great addition to be able to update the labels via an API, but even now the build quality is great and everything can be setup with little to no effort. Insert the battery and follow the instructions on the display. Well done!

Very nice addition to my home automation

I love this button device. It works well, looks great and, very important, it has a great wife acceptance factor ;)

Discovered the product in an IoT blog I follow and what an amazing discover :)
Very good documentation avalaible fully online.
Simple and very nice design.
Use ESP platform for very easy integration and programming if wanted,
Standard battery and easy setup with supplied firmware.
Shipping fantastic: ordered on friday afternoon, shipped on saturday and received on wednesday in Switzerland for a very reasonnable price :)

Impatient to discover your next product ;) Hope you plan to do more as might buy some for my customers ;)

Just what I was looking for. Comes securely packaged, quality of the device feels good and everything works as advertised. Setup was a breeze, it only took a few minutes to get it working with Home Assistant by following the setup guide. Would recommend.
