This was an OK solder kit. It included a resistor chart and a schematic sheet which were helpful in getting the right components in the right place. Had to work a little too hard to get the components into the board. The capacitors had different spacing than the board footprint so they stick up a good bit. The trim pot shown in the item photo was a vertical type with adjustment on the side. They shipped a horizontal one that had a very different footprint. I had to re-bend the legs of the trim pot but finally got it to work. The "Laser" sound that the board produced may have been acceptable in 2010 when the board was copyrighted but would not work in 2020 cosplay. It is basically an oscillator that gives a bip-bip-bip-bip sound at different frequencies. I was hoping for a more modern laser sound but will probably need a sound chip for that.
All in all a nice 30 minute solder kit with limited practical use.
