We needed to talk to a Campbell Scientific pyranometer using SDI-12 with a Raspberry Pi. This product and a modified logger program from the developer's website worked perfectly!! The ability to connect an auxiliary power supply to the adapter allowed us to run the onboard heater on the pyranometer as well. Great product that really helped with out work to make cost effective Pi-based dataloggers! We are using a CS 320 pyranometer. I am happy to provide the modified logging program if desired that can read the data and control the onboard heater.

This adapter makes it easy to work with SDI-12 sensors, especially if you are using a Raspberry Pi as your logger. The Documentation is great and so is the communication. Every question or concern I have had has been addressed very quickly. Will definitely buy again. The only reason why i gave a 4/5 on the product is because the terminals are a little too small, but overall this is a great product and easy to work with.

Thanks for your comments! FYI the terminals comfortably accept wires up to 18 AWG (tested). If you have a wire lead, you should tin the lead and trim it to the right length as suggested in the manual before inserting it. I'll design another variation with larger terminals but I have never seen any SDI-12 sensors using thicker wires than 18 AWG.
