I am a retired controls engineer with a background in electronics and a love of programming. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology and an Associates of Science in Electrical and Electronics Technology. Much of my career was based in repairing electronics, designing industrial control systems, or programming industrial controllers as a controls engineer.
In my free time I have created a variety of projects using a PIC chip programmed in C with DIY etched PCBs such as:
- a camera switcher and recorder for a VCR
- a text overlay with a realtime clock for NTSC video
- an accelerometer based tilt-mouse with a USB receiver
- a countdown timer using a Pic chip
I've also written several arcade styled games in Java for Android devices. QBubba, a QBert tongue-in-cheek clone, enjoys mild popularity on the Amazon store.
The Raspberry Pi is my most recent tech passion and continues to be with it's flexibility and affordability.
