After playing with many bulky or not so convenient sound interfaces, I found the DigiLink and bought one for use with IC 706 (MK2 and old) and KX2. The producer promptly replied some question I had and shipped the product quickly. It is very handy, as it has well made cables, short enough to not add to the weight and mess around the TX. This is much more convenient than the mini sound cards that directly plug on the USB card. It worked well on Windows-10 with WSJT-X and both the 706 MK2 and KX2. There are clear instructions (on the web) on how to connect it and set the proper sound levels. Highly recommended.
I bought the DigiLink Nano after a recommendation on Facebook as a lightweight solution for SOTA. It really serves my needs, it is simple to setup and works well with my Macbook, Raspberry and Windows PC. Highly recommended.

Welcome back to digital / Completing an existing setup
First of all... I am so glad to be back in the digital modes. I left our HAMRADIO hobby when PactorII (1999) was the limit and came back to it in 2016.
I have a KX2 since a few years and now, some how found out about Christophs, HB9ZHK project, the DigiLink Nano. It took me 10 mins to make up my mind and the dream of doing WSPR with his modem kicked off with me.
Straight forward communications with Christoph, perfect shipping and very sufficient boxing. The billing was easy and straight forward. I use the modem now, running WSTJX on a raspberry pi4 with great success.
The size of the modem is so small that it would be real fun using it for portable use, too.
One thing I would like to suggest, is that the MIC and PHONES cable, running to the TRX should be some how labeled. My cable came with red and green plugs and without any labeling. This is also not been described on the support page. https://www.hb9zhk.ch/elecraft-setup.html . Please update this site if you keep sending out the red and green set of cables.
Over all, a great piece of #HAMRADIO gear. It will be a keeper in my shack and for my portable setups. I am looking forward to test the other modes besides FT8 ! #QRP #CW
Thanks again Christoph and 72/3 de DM5TU - sTef
