Nice product, but both snowflakes will sometimes lock up, meaning all leds will blink on one of the five pedals and not blink the rest of the leds. Only way to clear up problem is to turn off, then back on. So can only leave on for two days, then back on for 2 days. I don’t know if it is because I have the snowflake ornaments on a tree with a lot of flashing/flicking led and flicking flame(neon) lights and that causes the computer to get confused. I think the leds are a little small, maybe one size bigger, but they are bright for their size. Also, I would like the blink rate to be adjustable, but that might cause a more complicated design meaning higher price. These were the right price, others I looked at were 5-$10 higher each.
Sorry to hear that. You may be able to resolve the issue by adjusting the potentiometer so that the ornament triggers in a brighter room. Check my website for information on how to do this.
The issue is most likely a race condition in the interrupts that handle timing If the above fix doesn't work and you have the means to flash new firmware, I have an older firmware version that uses less interrupts and may not have the issue described.
