The Octasonic board is a great product. It takes some effort but this will lead to an awsome musical instrument which brings joy to anyone. This is the first working prototype in a 4-bottle wooden case made by the Open Source Space @ the Public Library Tilburg - The Netherlands. https://youtu.be/-kI-47Z5QRs
On the waitinglist for 4 more of those octasonic boards!
I am handling a project which requires manage many ultrasonic sensors - a self-driving robot to navigate in closed area such as living room and this board is exactly what I was needed! It works as described. For those who interested, here is a link of the project: https://bitbucket.org/ChernyshovYuriy/robocar/src/master/
It would be very helpful if the seller responds to technical clarifications or questions with the product or share the Datasheet of breakout board? have been trying to reach thru intractable , git and tindie store without luck!!!
The reviewer was looking for custom support to build a project using non standard components that I don't have access to. Despite swapping several emails with him to try and help he left this negative review. I'm not sure why he didn't take advantage of my offer to refund his purchase. To date I have sold 58 of these boards and this is the first negative review.
It is not a voice changer, simply put you have your voice and the dalek voice there is no real support as the goal(for original maker) was to sound like a dalek or such for the creator so when asked how would one use this as an actual voice changer. Im sure you'll love it if you need to sound like a dalek
Thanks for the feedback! I've updated the product description to make it clear that the example sketches are for Dalek and Cyberman voice effects only and that to get other voice changer effects requires writing your own code.
If you haven't already done this, please send the board back so I can refund your money.
This review is mostly for the voice changer as I couldn't review it without purchasing from an account. The items shipped and arrived very quickly! I had some difficulty getting the changer to work but was helped all the way through. The customer service is incredible! If you want anything from this shop do not hesitate to buy it!
I got the voice changer working, but have not had time to play w code. I am using it in a costume and it will be perfect. The mic is quite sensitive so I put a foam cover over it from some earbuds. I am using an arduino uno with the shield and it stacks nicely on top. I was so glad to find this as it has saved me tons of time and adds the final touch to my piece.
Our show is April 2 at Telus Spark, my piece is Ex Machina, check out MakeFashion.ca Thanks
This is exactly what I wanted. The voice changer was shipped the very next day! There was no tracking number, but Super Awesome Robots was on the ball and I received my changer in just 3 business days. A little experience putting together kits is very useful as the assembly instruction were just pictures, but I had no problem with it, it is only 8 components and two headers to solder. Use sockets for the chips if you have them. There is plenty of room for expansion, 8 sets of inputs, and the code is easy enough to understand. I will get lots of use out of this. I will probably build stand-alone units for long term usage, but I like having the shield for a quick testing of code and abilities.
