Board received, not installed yet, but...
For TDD Micro - Direct Drive wheel Controller
I was following the Thanos boards, and intended to buy the 6DOF controller. Then i stumbled on this great little board in order to make a quite simple OSW wheel.
I ordered the board, ordered all other parts, and im waiting to arrive.
My TDD board got lost at the postal service, and without hesitation, Thanos send me a replacement board.
This is Service witha a capital "S" !! I really love this, and it gives a very good faith in this seller.
Now, the board arrived after all, and the replacement is on its way. I made an arrangement with this seller, as i do not want 2 boards for the price of one!
Board looks well made, but theres no description, manual or something like this, so you really need to get it all from the online information. (which is more than sufficient by the way).
Even though im not able to test yet, i give this setter a A+ without hesitation!

Works as advertised but could use a bit of improvement.

1. No enclosure - I realize that you can order one from PT-actuators that comes with a nice aluminum case but they are never in stock. This board requires 3D printing a case which isn’t a big deal but I guess it could be if you don’t have your printer.
2. No USB cable - had to go and buy one just to get it working. Not a big deal they are cheap but again for the price I expected a little more.
3. Shipping took a long time. I ordered on June 6 and it just arrived on July 15, over a month later (to Canada). I understand delays due to COVID but it would be nice to have the option to upgrade shipping even if it costs a little more.
Don’t want to turn anyone off from getting the controller - it works amazing and it is really the best option for a DIY motion sim but again it is quite expensive and could use a bit of refinement.

I sure understand all mentioned areas of improvement. This is still DIY solution that can be adapted to a large combination of simulators or actuator arrangements, thus including a standard length USB cable maybe will be too short or too long. Same goes with the DB25 cables that I don't provide as well. Regarding the metal enclosure, you can contact PT-Actuator for only the metal enclosure, they will be happy to send you only that if you can't access a 3D printer for a PLA enclosure. Regarding the shipping delays, all USPS options, even Express are subject to same delays during these last months, its not going to get anything faster. The only unaffected courier service I seen is FedEx but with 160USD cost its just too expensive to use.
