This is perfect for prototyping Eurorack format modules. I did some previous ones on stripboards, but the central power rail on this one makes layout easier. Be sure to watch the instruction video before you start soldering. power connectors need to be soldered BEFORE the ICs. Small caveat, not a mistake this is by design and because you would not have the powerrail otherwise.
Kristian is very helpful, and have made a bunch of videos about modules, and how to use this board. The board works great, and it saved me a bunch of patchwork with this supernice layout, and the mods I've done became super simple because the board is very versatile. This will be my go to board for the modules that require big chips, or more then one chip, because I don't need to route the common signals using wire. This will probably work very good for multiple small modules as well
I bought these to make my DIY modular synth projects a little easier. The PROTO works well with the 10 pin eurorack power supply header. The Proto is perfect for experimenting. I also ordered some power supply kits from Kristian as well and thy were fun and easy to build. My order came so quick. Everything was great. Check out Kristian's you tube series "Modular in a Week". This was my first Tindie experience and I couldn't be happier! great job Kristian!
