It is a little difficult to connect to the GT2560 board. You must to do a weld and it is not so easy. You must also know the board pinout to select the proper pin and assign it in Marlin. Then a better info from the seller would be very useful for the user. The device runs perfectly and it is a good option to forgive the filament width issues.
I was initially apprehensive about soldering the tiny little sensor onto the board but it turned out to be really easy as the instructions were clear and helpful. Aside from some slight confusion with the SMD capacitors with the extra through holes, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise ( I am really bad at SMD ) it all went together. In total, 4 kits were purchased and assembled by myself and a friend and we had 100% success rate.
As to whether or not it is improving my print quality.... That isn't really the point.
I bought this a while back and just now getting around to trying it out. Instructions needs to be improved, especially when using with the supplied LCD board. The main gripe is the path for the filament, it is too small. I barely got a 1.5mm rod through the guide. When you pay a good price for this, the product should be tested before sent to the customer. Yes, they give you the stl file, so be prepared to modify and reprint the filament guide piece. Also when buying the kit with the LCD board, there should be a header that would connect the sensor to the LCD board (with a voltage regulator for the 5V sensor).
1st board failed immediately. Absolutely followed the included instructions exactly (very easy to hook up). The LCD lite up and started the count down, then a puff of smoke and it died .Contacted Jason on July 20th who said he would replace after testing his on hand stock for two days. It is now 8/16/2018. The replacement Jason claims he sent out has still not arrived. I will give a complete review after I receive and test the replacement
I bought the diy kit, thinking my old npn sensor adapter board was bad...as the led on the npn inductor sensor was lighing up, I assumed the voltage was inputted to the old sensor board...as I didnot have a test point on that sensor board adapter for auto leveling. This kit I purchased allowed me to disconnect/reconnect wires in order to verify that indeed I was not getting the proper singaling voltage from the inductive sensr...the led light did turn on. his DIY kit is better engineered than my old one. thanks very much; glad I bought two of the kits. Crappy 3d printed part. Some adjustement to do. The soldering is crappy too. A lot of burning brown mark on it. It's not affect the fonctionnality but looks bad. And there is not the origin of the project on the paper. It will be usefull for fiemware modification and code understanding. Okey product but need to have a some adjustement on the final touch and assembly to be a realy nice product.
Hi Part is printed complimentary so don't complain. Soldering is done from experienced 20 years in the field technicians . the brown stuff is the flux which is left after soldering - you can alcohol wash it ! Product works fine as described in the listing and this product is an improved version. completely re written code to get more accurate readings.

Upon ordering Jason immediately emailed me about my needs and gauged my experience level with electronics. He then promised he'd setup the board according to these specifications and would send along a copy of detailed instructions to go with the board.
Did Jason deliver? Undeniably, yes. The part was shipped quickly and literally was 'plug and play'. The written instructions were clear and were easily followed.
