Really inexpensive reed relay consisting of a reed switch surrounded by a coil winding.
The switch contacts close with as little as 8V applied to the coil. Coil resistance is 1130 ohms, requiring approximately 10mA operating current at 12V.
Due to contact spacing, the relay is not suitable for mains voltage work. Maximum recommended voltage between coil and contact pins is 100V. PCB spacing between coil pins in 5.08mm. Pin spacing between switch pins is 23mm. The four pins are wire-ended, about 6mm long and can be made to fit a through-hole board based on a 0.1" matrix.
The reed switch can easily be removed from the outer coil winding to provide contacts that can be operated by any small magnet.
