The LX2b Laser Controller board is a simple 2-axis GRBL Plug and Play upgrade for your K40 or M2 Nano board based laser and works well with the latest LightBurn or Laser GRBL software. The board does not require an external power supply to operate if used in a K40 or M2 Nano board based laser. Some 50W and 60W machines use the M2 Nano board and the LX2b will work in those as well. The laser power supply can only supply 1 amp total current for the stepper motors. The drivers by default are set to 500mA for each axis. Each driver supports up to 1.5 amp maximum motor current. If you need motor current greater than 500 mA per axis you will need an external power supply. Contact us for more information if you have a high current requirement.

The LX2b is loaded with features such as:

• 192 MHz ARM Cortex M4 processor with hardware floating point support

• Integrated A4988 drivers with access to individual driver current through grbl settings

• Speeds of up to 400mm/sec can be achieved.

• 16-bit 0-1000 step variable laser pwm output for accurate grayscale reproduction

• Additional pwm settings to tune your laser pwm output

• Axis freewheel or axis locking control through a grbl setting

• M7 relay output for air assist or external auxiliary control. Compatible with most AC or DC solid state relays and the LX series Relay Controller

• Electrically isolated full speed USB interface for computer to board ground loop isolation

• DX Panel communication port for the DX Panel display module

• 24V power input reverse polarity and surge protection

• ALL inputs are ESD protected and low pass filtered. All outputs are ESD protected.

• Free firmware updates. The firmware is field upgradeable through Vms ISP software

• Board mounting holes are compatible with the M2 Nano board for direct replacement
