5/2/2020 - I've got enough parts to assemble 3 more units. I won't be assembling any more after these last 3. I've increased the price by $15.
Voultar released a revised version of the Double Penetration SD which resolves a compatibility issue with PAL TV's. To implement this on the current design requires a single wire jumper as shown in one of the photos. If you would like me to install this jumper on yours you can make the request by selecting from the drop-down menu on the right side under "Jumper Wire PAL TV fix
Voultar's Double Penetration SD is essentially a splitter designed to be paired with Datapath E1/E1S capture cards and handles 240p/480i 15 Khz signals. This device will split a signal into two outputs which is a very convenient way of dealing with the input only on Datapath E1/E1S capture cards. One output goes to the Datapath card and the other goes to your display. You are able to game on your monitor while capturing your gameplay! In order to get a "pixel-perfect" capture there is a process involved. RetroRGB has a great tutorial on how to capture footage with this device connected to a Datapath E1/E1S which I've linked at the bottom of the page.
Features:
This is for the device ONLY. No other accessories are included. You will need your own cables and adapters. To connect to your Datapath card you will need a DVI-I cable or adapter which MUST have the analog pins. This will not work with digital DVI-D cables. I personally use a "DVI-I (24+5) to DVI-I (24+5) Male to Male cable". A "DVI-I Male to Male Gender Changer" will work as well.
If you would like to build your own Double Penetration SD, PCB gerber files and more information can be found on Voultar's OSHpark page
