A microprocessor programmed as an I2C slave, a DS18B20 waterproof temperature probe, and any two-electrode EC probe you provide. It measures conductance and converts it into a temperature-compensated Siemen. From that value, it derives PPM and salinity.
An Arduino-compatible library is provided to make using it easy and there is extensive documentation on the use and setup of the device. The library is available for download and installation in the Arduino Library Manager as well as the PlatformIO Library Manager, just search for EC Salinity. A Raspbery Pi python3 library is available as well.
The probe has been designed as an alternative to expensive and large commercial probes. It is a small 10x25mm (0.5x1 in) double-sided interdigitated probe. You cannot find a smaller, less noticeable probe anywhere else, especially one with both a 1K and 10K cell constant. It is suitable for light use in fresh or salt water and pools and requires the same amount of maintenance as a typical probe would.
Any commercial 2-electrode probe can be used as well.
