What is it?

The Tymkrs Bulkhead kit is a 2hp Eurorack module that improves cable management allowing you to route signals from the front of your synthesizer to the inside of your case, and back again! This works with both TS and TRS jacks.

Why did you make it?

I wanted my synthesizer to look nice and neat, but the midi source and audio output were on the front of the eurorack case and needed to go to behind the synthesizer to the rest of my studio. I got tired of running cables from the front of the synthesizer to the back - around the side. So here we are - cable management!

If you have two or more modules, this could also create a wormhole within your synthesizer and help clean up your live case. By patching the back of one bulkhead to another bulkhead, you could create a hidden patch between two parts of your case.

Contents of the Bulkhead Kit:

Jack Board (28.2 x 98.2 x 1.60mm)
Face Plate Board (10 x 128.6 x 1.60mm)
16 – 1/8” Jacks

Assembly Directions:

If you have a kit - align the jacks with the silkscreen on the larger board (the side with the black lines). The audio jack "holes" should face out.
Put the jacks in. And solder them in. I recommend soldering one leg in, adjusting to make sure the jack is flat, and then soldering the remaining legs in.
Unscrew the nuts from the audio jacks, and fit the faceplate onto jacks. Screw the nuts back on.
Voila! Your own bulkhead eurorack module!

Looks good. Works Perfectly

This was my first DIY module. Managed to figure it out and it worked first try. I have to admit that I did get a bit confused making it though as there were no instructions, which would have been nice to have. But I did figure it out so it can't have been that difficult.
