Can be used to track any asset that you desire remotely while also storing information to device. With the Real time Clock you can schedule the device according to your needs, reducing the power draw of the device. The GPS can be turned on/off through a transistor and not just put into sleep mode. This further reduces power draw and allows the device to last longer, increasing the deployment times before requiring a new battery. Information can be stored locally on the device making sure that data is never lost even if the device is out of range of a LoRa Receiver. Use Arudino promini 3.3v @ 8mhz as board when programming.

Our device was primarily designed to be used for animal tracking, with an emphasis on a small form factor, and low power draw (so that batteries used could be smaller, reducing weight of the device). Location acquisition under dense canopy and surviving humid forest conditions were also a requirement and so these Biscuits were attached to 3.6V Saft batteries and enclosed in our custom designed 3d printed collar cases while they were tested rigorously in the Peruvian Amazon. Testing included placing the devices in various densities of forest canopy, while they withstood the weather conditions. The devices were also walked around the forest by humans to simulate animal movement. Our device was able to acquire location under dense canopy conditions during rain and cloudy weather transmitting locations ~ 2km through dense vegetation. Currently they are being used by wildlife researchers to track wildlife
Summary, conclusion, last pitch to sell Far from just being tested inside a lab, our device has been field tested in harsh conditions. On board storage means you never lose any data even when outside range of a LoRa/LoRaWAN receiver.. The Queltec L80 GPS with an internal Patch Antenna removed the need for any external antenna on the device, reducing the form factor and making it easier to place when tracking an asset. Extremely low power allows for long durations of deployment before requiring a battery change.
