This is a 10 conductor patch cable for connecting 10p10c break out boards to the PiRyte interface boards. The cables use male RJ50 jacks and are wired straight through. This cable is generic enough so that it can be used anywhere a 10p10c cable is needed.
This cable is available in the following lengths:
Since my Raspberry Pi/PiRyte controller stack is centrally located and the items that the stack control are distributed, I needed a robust way of routing signals and felt that running bundles of individual wires under a layout would create clutter and make debugging wiring issues more difficult. I chose to do this using RJ50 10p10c connections to route 8 I/O lines plus ground and V+. There aren't that many suppliers out there who supply this particular cable so I decided to build my own.
This cable is a flat cable so it has some flexibility while protecting the individual wires within.

I have been a software developer for all of my adult life. A couple of years ago, my old passion for electronics and model railroading got reignited with my first purchase of a Raspberry Pi. Since then, I have created a wonderful open source web app for the Pi, called Breezy4Pi at www.breezy4pi.com. This application enables a hobbyist to program the Raspberry Pi with mere mouse clicks to execute small programs.
Along with Breezy4Pi is the line of I/O extenders, break out boards and, my latest, the Mini ATX PSU. These are all designed to work well together in a compact stack-able configuration appropriate for the general hobbyist and model railroader.
Thank you for visiting and I welcome your feedback!
