Microchip sells a development board with a BM20/BM62 for more than 50$. For that price, I can have a lot of boards from jlcpcb.com. I decided to design my own and sell spare boards here on Tindie. The module is not included.
I'm working on a project that includes bluetooth audio and I want to try various bluetooth audio modules. Bluetooth modules are always in the form of a board designed to be soldered on the main PCB so they are not breadboard compatible. This makes prototyping with them really difficult, so I made a breadboard for each bluetooth module I got my hands on :).
It's open source, and all of my creations source files are on my GitHub page. The link can be found below in the documentation section. Board schematics are made in KiCad OSS SW. Board design is tested by me. If any bugs show up, I will ship it fixed or the fix will be documented here (in case it cannot be fixed in advance).
MFB button (for the start of the module, if autostart is not configured via UI tool)
Mic input (3.5mm jack) with support circuits
AUX input (3.5mm jack) with support circuits
micro USB port for power
provision for separate battery 2pin header (2,54mm/0.1")
pins of module are routed to 2.54mm(0.1") headers
optional smd components include(+3$):
2x button (for MFB and RESET)
3x 3.5mm stereo jack for output and mic
passives (caps, resistors, 2xLED)
pin headers (1x18pins)
option for soldered components (not BM20) is + 5$
spin-off as part of the project:
None of option includes the actual bluetooth module.
