PAL-1 ROM

The ROM expansion kit can ship with an OPTIONAL pre-programmed 32K E/EPROM chip, the PAL-1 ROM, for your turnkey experience. The PAL-1 ROM programmed by Jim McClanahan (W4JBM), including Microsoft BASIC, FORTH, VTL-02, and the most in-demand Apple 1 Integer BASIC which we think it has never appeared on KIM-1 clone. PAL-1 ROM also includes eWoz monitor and PBUG(PAL-1 Debugger) monitor. Finally, for convenience, you will get a memory test program in ROM.

What is included

The PAL-1 ROM Expansion Kit includes ROM board PCB, ICs, passive components, sockets & headers, optional E[E]PROM with PAL-1 ROM quick reference sticker.

What is NOT included

You need the PAL-1 Motherboard and PAL-1 32K RAM board for default configuration.

Fantastic addition to the PAL-1 system

This addon was straightforward to put together and worked perfectly once assembled. The pre-programmed ROM comes loaded with useful monitors and languages:

eWoz, PBug, MS BASIC, Apple I Integer BASIC, VTL-02c, and a Memory Test Utility.

Kinda requires the RAM expansion, so go grab that too!

Everything is fine.

3 Weeks ago i ordered the Kit. Today it arrived. Soldered the kit and another socket on the motherboard an it worked immediately. Thank for your work.
