The incredible MickGyver created software that adapts a variety of retro controllers to USB using only the cheap and readily available Arduino Pro Micro - all as fast as possible. This product is a 2 player NES adapter that allows two NES controllers to be used at once on any USB device that accepts controllers, such as the MiSTer FPGA platform.
Though these controller boards are a great first soldering project, I wanted to make a complete product that was plug and play to allow those with no soldering experience or inclinations to play with these fast adapters.
With the secret sauce of the open-source firmware, these adapters are crazy fast, with average latency at only 1.111 ms, barely above the fast polling rate of the MiSTer. I can't tell the difference between these and real hardware.
Micro-USB cable and controller(s) not included. I will install the latest firmware and test before shipping. The firmware can be updated by following the instructions on the GitHub.
Firmware licensed under GPL v3 to MickGyver
PCB soon to be licensed under CERN OHL v2
