WiFi-enabled LED matrix display
Why did you make it?
I was looking for a nice looking Bitcoin price ticker since I was annoyed by checking the price on my smartphone. I could not find anything nice so I build one.
What makes it special?
The wooden case is made of Slovenian beech wood that looks great in combination with the dot matrix display.
The device is preloaded with a firmware that connects to a configuration server where you can set what to display: Time (CET), Cryptocurrency live price (TOP 20 from CoinMarketCap), Custom scrolling message
Easy initial setup: power up the device, connect to SSID tickerOne, set your wifi credentials and you are ready to go!
Of course, you can flash your own firmware (ESP8266, NodeMCU 1.0) with Arduino IDE (Arduino bootloader loaded) and modify the device - maybe as a MQTT client display, display for twitter/facebook stats, etc..
The device has a Micro USB connector. A USB cable and power adapter are not included, any micro USB phone charger will work.
Product comes fully assembled.
