You are looking at a wifi modem emulator. What is that?
Imagine that you have an old computer which has a serial port. It could be any computer with a serial port really. You plug this device into the serial port and right away it starts behaving like a Hayes dialup modem.
But it's not a modem of course, it does not connect to a telephone network. Instead it connects to the internet over wifi.
So you are now connected to the internet with your old computer, so what, what can be done? Do you remember Bulletin Board Systems? Well they are still alive and well, only these days they are available on the internet over Telnet rather than over telephone lines.
Using this modem emulator you can open up your favorite old terminal program on your favorite old computer and connect to these BBS's at 300 - 9600 bps. It behaves just like they used to.
A PDF manual is included with full set up instructions and list of AT commands.
Not included but required is a micro-USB 5v 1000ma (or greater) power supply (standard phone charger, etc).
It's simple and ready to use. I put care into coming up with a clean looking design.
