Description

The Smart Lights X4 is an electronic board based on the ESP32 with the target of controlling up to 4 dimmable led strips under 24VDC. It can read up to 4 switches so you can also program the response of the light depending on physical inputs

It can be powered from 230VAC (since the board can mount a 230VAC -> 12V/24VDC power transformer) and is able to regulate 4 independent monochromes LED strips or one RGBW LED strip.

Features

• ESP32-S module: since it is based on the extended ESP32 microcontroller you can upload the ESPHome firmware and connect it with your Home Assistant setup or simply upload your own Arduino codes.

• Simplicity matters: Since the ESP32 has WiFi capabilities, and therefore supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, there is no USB to UART IC for programming the ESP32. Instead, there is a direct access to the serial pins. This way you can program it for the first time through a standard USB serial adapter (like the HW-598) and later OTA.

• Expandable: Want to read external sensors or control further boards? The Smart Lights X4 integrates an I2C port as well as a serial port so you never run out of physical connections.

NOTES:

This is the first release of this board and it has some minor bugs that are being corrected for the next release. Therefore, this product has a discount applied, since it is functional but with the following limitations:

• Silkscreen quality is not 100% perfect
• DC Power jack poles are inverted. It is not strictly necesary since it is also powered through 230VAC.
