In the spring of 1984 Mindset Corporation, released an Intel 80186-based that was unique in form and function. While it might look like a normal IBM PC compatible of its time, it featured outstanding graphics hardware that let it display images with a resolution of 320×200 pixels with 16 colors at a time, and, most importantly, it could draw (create and display in real-time) hardware-accelerated graphics, and had a high refresh rate.

By today's standards, and even the standards of 1984, the mindset computer was a total flop because it only had two floppy drives and no hard drive storage. In the final months of the Mindset computer, they finally released the hardware necessary to add a hard drive to the computer. Sadly, nobody bought one and they are extremely rare and there's only a handful of people in the world who actually have hard drives on their Mindset computers. This hardware allows the knowledgeable hacker the essential proprietary components needed to build a hard drive storage system for the Mindset. With these 2 items along with a Xebec controller and an ST225 Hard drive (Or MFM emulator) spinning storage is possible.
