Battlestar Galactica Cylon Eye / Knight Rider K.I.T.T. Style Larson Scanner - 20 LED lights
This is my second take on the famous Knight Rider K.I.T.T. scanner (aka Larson Scanner)
It is fun! Need more reason?
It uses a compact PCB with 20x 3528 BRIGHT (200~400mcd@20mA) SMD LED consumes little power and is microUSB powered & 5V DC powered
This is a project based on the work of Luc Volders, in his 4 part article on Charlieplexing. The article explains in detail all you need to know about Charlieplexing and how to make/program your own Larson Scanner LEDs, inspired by K.I.T.T. from the Knight Rider series.
My original Larson Scanner was using Luc Volders code on an attiny25 which my friend friend Alain from Omzlo Electronics helped adopt to the 20 led version. Please visit his Tindie store, Omzlo Store, to see what he has been up to lately!
New version is using an attiny13 with code generously supplied by Dave (known as davedarko). Please visit his store to see his work (of art) davedarko
ICSP header is NOT supplied (buyer can add one).
