This a dual power supply for hifi equipment, such as the Muffsy Phono Preamp PP-4, the Muffsy MC Head Amp MH-1 or other high quality preamps. The PSU provides 100 mA of power without using heatsinks, and double that with heatsinks mounted.
The power supply also includes a second regulated +15 volts of AUX power. It has one output that delivers the full voltage, and one output with a current limiting LED resistor.
This LM317/337 regulated power supply only has 0.1 mV noise, which adds virtually no noise to any operational amplifier. It is also very well suited for discrete circuits.
The power supply only requires a single AC input, from a 15-18 volts AC wall adapter (not included) or transformer.
Included in the kit is the printed circuit board and all necessary components.
A list of suitable wall adapters is maintained on the Muffsy home page.
This power supply has three great advantages:
The AUX power can be used for equipment that doesn't require a highly regulated supply, LEDs, relays and more.
