It's a baseboard to build a robot that is pre-populated with a buzzer and has plug-in 30 pin socket for Arduino Nano, 14-pin DIP socket for dual H-bridge motor driver, SIP socket for compass, and four 4-pin sockets for low-cost HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors to cover all 4-sides of the robot. Power can be applied through DC-power jack or through screw terminals (both reverse polarities protected). A 10-pin expansion interface allows external MCU, modules or sensors to be interfaced using SPI or IIC interface.

It provides onboard buzzer for sound/tone generation and has sockets to house all necessary components/modules. An Arduino Nano can be plugged in a 30-pin Dual In-Line Socket, SN754410 H-bridge motor driver plugs in a 16-pin DIP socket, a 5-pin SIP socket for HMC5883L compass, buzzer, four 4-pin SIP sockets to plug in the ultrasonic sensors, without any wiring. A versatile expansion interface is provided to allow the addition of a slave microcontroller module and sensors, e.g. a low-cost Arduino Nano expansion module available from several online suppliers will allow the addition of a slave Nano microcontroller, and Bluetooth, nRF24L01, or XBee module.
