How should the rpi be connected to power?
Power can be provided in the typical way via the micro USB port on the raspberry pi. Alternatively, the board supports back powering the rpi via the 5v power port. Either one can be used, but both should not be used. The 12v power port does not provide power to the rpi. It is dedicated to the ULN2803 for activating relays or other higher voltage devices.
How is the 12v power port used?
The 12v power port is dedicated to the ULN2803 for activating relays or other higher voltage devices. It does not provide power to the rpi.
How is a temperature probe connected?
The goby hat has 3 ports for the 1-wire bus, exposed as Temp1, Temp2, and Temp3. The pull-up resistor is already included on the board, so only 3.3v, GND, and data need to be connected. JST wire colors may not match the temperature probe wire colors.
