The Pixel Display is a beautifully framed retro style display made up of 512 LEDs arranged in individual pixel square cells. The display is driven by a simple SPI interface, with all the complex matrix driving handled for you by the driver board. The driver was designed for a Raspberry Pi, but any board with SPI should also be able to drive the display as long as it also provides 3.3V. The display interface features 24bit colors, gamma correction for more accurate colors, and fully buffers the input data to prevent a tearing effect between frames. Additional features include separate brightness control through SPI and a frame rate up to 60 frames per second.
This model features a handmade frame made from poplar wood with a coat of stain and finish.
