What is it?

It is a PCB that I designed to easily mount and dismount different Arduino MKR boards and grain monitoring cables from each other.

Included in the kit is:

1. The bare PCB.

2. 4 4.7k ohm resistors

3. 4 560 Ohm Resistors

4. 4 1k Ohm Resistors

5. 1 10k ohm resistor

6. 1 DHT 22 sensor

7. 4 3 position TE connectivity PCB plug

8. 4 3 position TE connectivity spring-loaded plug

9. PCB Only Assembly Manual

Why did you make it?

I made this PCB to clean up the wiring in the grain monitoring setup I created for my dad.

What makes it special?

The project itself is special because all the materials to build the setup costs around $500 CAD, and even when the time to build is taken into account the cost is still much lower than the other options out there.

Not Included

1. 16 DS18B20 sensors
2. needed to create the monitoring cable that would go in the bin
3. Fire Alarm Cable (or other signal wire)
4. needed to create the monitoring cable that would go in the bin
5. Arduino MKR Board
6. needed to collect the data and transmit it to the Arduino Cloud
7. Enclosures

Those three items would be needed to complete the grain monitoring project.

Other Notes

The video that is linked is a video of me assembling a previous version of this PCB, but the gist of the video is still valid.

In the BOM sheet the PCB was designed by me and is manufactured by PCBWay at the moment. The price entered is an estimate from my last order of 10 which included other items as well.

The last item in the BOM file is the assembly manual which consists of 28 pages contained within a generic duotang. It was made for this kit in particular but does contain instructions for how to assembly the Grain Monitoring Project.
