This is 1/10 semi-scale version of the rear light used in Formula 1 race cars. It is designed for 1/10 scale radio controlled F1 cars and runs off 6V. It mimics the multi-bulb appearance of the unit used by most teams and blinks at the same 4Hz rate with 40% duty cycle (note the actual rate may differ slightly, but is very close, depending on component variability).
I love the scale aspects of RC F1 racing and this seems a step up from the single blinking LED commonly available.
This units models the rectangular grid pattern of the lights on the full scale cars and blinks at the 4Hz/40% duty cycle commonly used.
Two versions are available. One is a "bare board" with all the electronics mounted and ready for you to connect your own wires for more mounting flexibility. The second version is mounted in a small 3D-printed case and sealed with nail polish for some weather protection. It also comes with a length of wire for you to connect to a suitable 6V source, typically the receiver in the RC car.
