The board has all ESP12 pins as pogo pins to be easily connected with the standard 2.54mm (0.1in) headers.
The top four pins are the FTDI pins for easy programming, they are additional to the ones on the side.
10k pull up resistors on RST and GPIO2, pull down on EN and GPIO15. For quick diagnosis GPIO0 has a LED and a button (FLASH). RST also has a button for easy programming.
The Kit includes one extra pogo pin and an instruction on what to solder where. You will need a soldering iron and accessories to solder it together. The jumper cables are standard 10cm ones and can be connected to an Arduino or Raspberry Pi just fine. Just choose the right gender (m-m or m-f). The board may have a different colour depending on the standard option from the board house.
The Fully Assembled Version comes as pictured and can be directly used to play around with it. Please note that most of the additional charge is because of the tricky shipping of the pointy pogo pins.
The ESP is not included ;)
There is a newer version with USB on board, see here: https://www.tindie.com/products/petl/usb-esp12-programmer-board-with-pogo-pins/
