This board comes fully assembled and operational with header pins and terminal on the side which can be hand soldered.
Ever thought of (re-)using your USB-C charger (like Macbook's) to power other devices? If so, this is the board for you. You can configure the chip once with your voltage/current needs and it will automatically request that voltage/current from an upstream USB-C charger. This is completely stand-alone and requires no external microcontroller. See some examples of what you can do with it in my blog post.
I was tired of having to deal with dozen power bricks of various quality. They're wasteful, bulky and sometimes unsafe for people and devices. So I decided to leverage existing high quality chargers, like Apple's, to power these devices.

There are other USB-PD kits out there, but they usually require a complicated software stack to talk the right protocol with the charger. STMicroelectronics STUSB4500 however, is a completely stand-alone chip that needs to be configured once.
