This cable is a replacement for the difficult-to-find original "Y-cable" that came with the IIe card for LC-series Macs. Pictured above is the replacement Y-cable alongside the original Apple part.
Many of the cards available to purchase online, or found in machines at garage sales have been separated from the y-cable, which is necessary to connect a joystick and floppy drive to the IIe. As such, original Y-cables are often harder to find and as expensive as the cards they work with.
At one end is the 26-pin, three row DH26 connector that plugs into the IIe card, the other two ends are DB9 and DE19 for joystick and floppy drives. Cable length is 6-7 inches.
