The BriteBlox Wireless Communicator pairs perfectly with BriteBlox LED marquees to allow wireless transmission of messages from your PC or smartphone to your marquee. Place this module at either end or in the middle of your marquee, and watch as your messages flow freely.

This module comes with a Bluetooth Bee pre-populated, but this bee can be removed and swapped with other compatible radios such as XBee, ZigBee, or WiFi. The male and female breakout pins on the sides allow you more flexibility if you're running out of particular types of jumper wires, plus more capability to share the Power, Ground, TX, and RX signals across multiple devices.

Along with the serial TX and RX lines broken out through headers, we also expose the CS, RTS, and CTS pins through pads on the back side. There are also unpopulated headers provided for an ICSP connection to reflash firmware on the Bluetooth bee provided (though this hasn't been tested). Other radios may allow this port to be used as an ICSP programmer for other chips, including those driving the BriteBlox Displayboard.

This board is 5V-tolerant, but generally produces 3.3V outputs as the Bluetooth radio included runs at 3.3V.
