OBJEX Link is a modular IoT board. It is designed to develop IoT devices that are easy to repair and recycle. It's perfect for a wide range of uses: Smart Home & Cities, IIOT, Everyday things & Wearables, Predictive Maintenance, Agriculture Automation. It can also be used for rapid prototyping and developing research and robotics projects, with the right module, you can extend the possible uses of the board.
The compact form factor and board design ensure easy use and maintenance of the board. The architecture of OBJEX Link is composed of two parts, the first is the mainboard (OBJEX Link) and the second is the module allows for easy customization and interfacing with hardware compared to other IoT boards.

This kit is designed to start developing your own projects/products with the OBJEX ecosystem. If you already have an OBJEX Link v1.5 know that most of the modules sold in the previous kit are compatible with OBJEX Link v1.6.

OBJEX Link v1.6 is the default version of the series. This version of OBJEX Link is designed to provide high computing power with the largest number of GPIOs. With the compromise of slightly increasing power consumption. The board is very compact and can be used for various IoT applications and more. It is possible to install two M0 modules or one M1 module. The board has been optimized for higher energy efficiency than other boards with the same microcontroller(ESP32-PICO-D4).
Modules are an essential element of OBJEX Link. They are the modules that allow OBJEX Link to detect temperature, control a motor, etc - (like Arduino shields but smaller and more compact).

The applications of OBJEX Link are so many, but obviously, they are limited by the number of modules available. If you need very compact and reliable hardware for your IoT devices, OBJEX Link is the best choice.
The socket is a special module, designed to easily integrate OBJEX Link into customized PCBs. This way you can integrate OBJEX Link easily without soldering the slimstack connectors. This module is open source, you can find all the production files here and KiCad Library.
As mentioned in the initial description of OBJEX Link, this product is not intended for making very simple prototypes. But using a simple module "ProtoBoard" it is possible to develop prototypes quickly.
With two or more ProtoBoards you can make several prototypes at the same time with only one OBJEX Link. This way you do not have to disconnect and reconnect any cables. You only have to unplug OBJEX Link from the protoboard and plug it in another prototype you are working on and if you need to load new firmware.

Flexible cables give you the opportunity to make the modules versatile and most importantly to fit the type of design or the final application of the designed device.
