This owl blinks its eyes with a classic 555 timer. It's a soldering kit for SMD beginners.
This kit has the following components: - a 555 of SOIC8, - a transistor, - two 5mm LEDs, and - other 0805 SMD passives.
It has to be powered by a CR2032 battery or its equivalent. (Please note the kit does not include the CR2032.)
NOTE: The purple BlinkyOwl is replaced with the green-soldermask one. "NW" is changed to "OWLSOME". The function remains the same.
Blinky is my favourite.
This kit has one classic 555 chip and one transistor to invert the clock signal. It includes both SMD and through-hole components. It is perfect for beginner to start with SMD soldering.
The frequency of blinking can be adjusted by changing the value of resistor and capacitor. It is a typical astable configuration of 555 timer.
There is only 3 purple collectibles in total.
