It is a 1" diameter board with 8 SMD LEDs equally spaced around the perimeter. It has an ATTiny84 with a pin connected to each LED, a small SMD push button to turn it on and off and change the blinking patterns, and a CR1220 battery clip and an AVR ISP interface on the back.
It comes with firmware that makes the lights blink in one of 5 different patterns. You push the button to change the pattern, and hold the button for a quarter second to turn it off. While powered off, the battery drain is near zero, so the battery will last as long as its shelf life. In operation, you can expect to get about an evening out of a single battery, depending on the pattern chosen.
You can use a pogo pin programming adapter on the AVR programming interface on the back to load your own firmware if you like.
It is 1 inch in diameter, with a small bump at the top with an 18 gauge hole for mounting.
I originally made it for fun. At Maker Faire 2015, I made and sold them as a demonstration of maker reflow SMD assembly.

I design and build small, useful electronic things. I started in 2013 after leasing an electric car and deciding that I could build my own charging station. Since then, I've gone on to design lots of things to fill particular needs.
The name of my store is partly a nod to Arduino's Italian roots, since Arduino got me into microcontroller engineering, and that led to everything else. I also like the image of Geppetto, working away in his workshop making little things that come to life.
