It’s a development board meant to be used, not just admired — sized comfortably for two-handed operation and practical prototyping.
I made it because most devboards are either too tiny to build anything meaningful on, or cluttered with features you may not want. I needed a board where:
I could attach the components I choose,
I could probe signals cleanly,
and
I could hold it without feeling like I’m soldering on a postage stamp.
The Calibrator750 became my daily “do-anything” platform, and now I’m making it available for other builders who value clarity, stability, and hands-on experimentation.
26 MHz Seiko Epson TCXO on board
Precise, ultra-stable timing ideal for DSP, synthesizers, clock generation, RF experiments, or anything that benefits from low-drift clocking.
A ground pin next to every GPIO
Cleaner wiring, simpler prototyping, easier signal integrity, better oscilloscope probing. Once you try it, you won’t want to go back.
Large, flexible prototyping zones
Not predefined — intentionally. You can add only what your project actually needs: buttons, rotary encoders, displays, sensors, breakout modules, retro parts, salvaged components… it’s your canvas.
A comfortable, human-sized layout
Many makers are tired of ultra-mini boards. The Calibrator750 is intentionally larger so you can hold it naturally, press buttons comfortably, and build interfaces that feel good.
Looks good on your desk
A visual design that respects both engineering and aesthetics.
The Calibrator750 comes with an actively developed, minimalist bare-metal (non-HAL) firmware on GitHub — clean startup code, register-level drivers, examples, and continuous improvements.
It’s built to be readable, hackable, and educational, whether you’re a seasoned embedded developer or someone finally jumping into the low-level world.
Included in the package:
1× Calibrator750 development board
1× Full unsoldered header set:
2× 60-pin (2×30)
1× 38-pin (2×19)
1x 3-pin (1x3)
Fits all GPIO edges and SWD
If you like this direction and want to see more open, maker-friendly tools, your support truly matters — buying a board directly fuels further development, new revisions, and future Noise Sculptors devices.
