He has a very creative mind and always have a unique perspective when approaching an issue due to his broad range of interests and hobbies. Eka specializes in hardware and software design for low power wireless embedded systems. With more than 8 years of experiences in electronics manufacturing, he can bring miniaturization technology into a whole new level of low cost prototyping and manufacturing. He is very committed to make this technology affordable, scalable, reliable, and most importantly, monetizable!
Before heading to the United States, Eka won many best innovation awards in electronics and computer science competitions as a young student in his native Indonesia. This has led him to become a roboticist at Scoula Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, where he pursued a doctorate degree in Innovative Technologies Program. During this time, he had been working on three most ambitious European Projects, namely VECTOR, ARES and P.Cezanne for millimeter size robotics. He was also a Senior Software Design Engineer in Dublin, Ireland, developing algorithms for Real Time Locating System with 10 cm of location accuracy. He speaks Indonesian, English, Italian, and able to pick up a bit of Chinese and Spanish. He is married to a Chinese wife, Jinling Zhong, and they currently reside in Nashville, Tennessee, with a newborn named Cindy Luo Susilo.
