IAQ Board is a device for measuring internal air quality. I needed a device for measuring some air quality parameters which is compact, cheap, simple and capable. The device is based on widely available and cheap essential components (MCU ESP32 and sensors). The core component is a simple PCB (printed circuit board) that's why I called it IAQ Board. The board integrates all the components in a very small footprint (size of a cigarette box). Firmware is based on ESPHome, which means the device is directly compatile with Home Assistant.

The device have 2 displays and is measuring the following air parameters:

• Temperature / Humidity / Ambient Pressure
• Air particles PM1, PM2.5, PM10
• Carbon Dioxide with NDIR sensor
• Air Quality Index by EPA, based on 24h average PM2.5 particles
• Ambient light
• Optional: VOC with SGP30 breakout board

On top of that:

• Two OLED display to show the data
• three RGB wide angle LEDs with auto brightness. LED1 indicates PM2.5, LED2 - Air quality index, LED3 - CO2.
• auto night dimming of the displays and LEDs (can be disabled)
• MIN/MAX values of Temperature, PM2.5 and CO2, and 24h average PM2.5 value.
• multi function button for selection of the data to show on the display
• firmware based on ESPhome, the device can be directly added in Home Assistant
• WiFi access to the device with http server and REST API and esphome native API to read the sensor data

What makes it special?

This IoT device is quite small but capable. Also as it's fully compatible to Home Assistant, you can add it in your home automation for seconds, record the data and do some actions with it (like I am controlling my air purifier with the data from the dust sensor). Also you can tune the firmware, which is quite easy with ESPHome and for example use the LEDs for other purposes (I use the middle LED to illuminate when the air in the kid's room is bad). You have plenty of options.

What is included in the price?

Unfortunatelly I do not have in stock anymore the fully assembled device. I still sell the fully assembled board and BME280 temperature sensor breakout board (difficult to find now, so I assemble these myself). Also 3D printed case is always available.
