This DIY kit for a 4x4x4 RGB LED Cube uses SMD LEDs mounted on glass PCBs.
The housing is made from lasercut transparent acrylic with an engraved top plate.
A micro USB connector is used to power the cube and for programming.
The cube is compatible with CircuitPython and comes preprogrammed with some basic animations.
The kit includes
64x WS2812B 5050 SMD LEDs
4x glass PCBs with copper traces
1x control PCB (fully assembled, CircuitPython bootloader, preprogrammed with basic animations)
1x set of transparent acrylic parts for housing
4x M2x8 screws and nuts
1x ribbon cable
Assembly requires a soldering iron with a thin tip to solder the LEDs and connect the layers.
A micro USB type B cable (not included) is needed for powering the cube and for programming.
